– As parishioners express resolve to support her governorship ambition
Sunday, April 25, 2021, was another day to reflect on God’s love and the essence of fellowshipping with one another as preached by the Catholic Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, His Lordship, Most Rev. Peter Ebele Okpaleke during the dedication of St Michael’s Catholic Parish, Ngo, Igboukwu in Aguata LGA, Anambra State.
The dedication ceremony which had in attendance well meaning sons and daughters of Igbo-Ukwu community, Aguata LGA and Anambra State began with a pontifical eucharistic celebration.
Expressing happiness on the completion of the magnificent place of worship for the people of the community, Ekwunife congratulated the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Jude Offodum, the parish council and all parishioners of the newly dedicated parish, including Chief Jude Osude (Odua).
The Igbo-Ukwu born Senator described the dedication of the edifice as a milestone which will strengthen the propagation of the gospel in the ancient community and avail worshippers an abode to meditate and commune with their creator. She prayed God to replenish all who contributed immensely to building of the church and stated that the edifice will usher in greater blessings for the people of the community.
Some of the parishioners who shortly after the mass trooped out in their numbers to appreciate the Senator hailed her for her giant strides in governance. They stated their resolve to give her their full support as she bids to become the next governor of the state. According to them, the Senator should only concern herself with emerging as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), “she already has the support, prayers and blessings of we the people of Aguata and Anambra South”, they affirmed.
