Ekwunife Begins Commissioning And Inspection Of Projects Across Anambra Central

…3 bedroom bungalows in Nawfia and Nri, Umuorji Road Enugwu-Ukwu among projects commissioned and inspected

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, on Monday, April 19, 2021 began projects inspection and commissioning across the
Senatorial District.

The projects commissioning and inspection which is expected to last for days began with the commissioning of a three bedroom bungalow the Senator built for Mr. and Mrs. Nwokolo Nwune of Umuriam village Nawfia in Njikoka local government area.

Speaking at the auspicious event which was equally graced by a former deputy governor of Anambra State, HE Abolle Okoyeagu, Ekwunife stated that representation had gone beyond sponsoring bills, moving motions and contributing to national issues but impacting on the lives of the people through the provision of social amenities. She appreciated those who nominated the project beneficiaries for choosing a couple who are truly deserving of the project.

While stating that the building projects were designed for constituents who do not have hope of owning a house in their lifetime, Ekwunife assured that she would continue to invest in projects and programmes that impact positively on lives of the people.

On his part, a respected stakeholder and leader of the Peoples Democratic Party in the local government, Sir. Alfred Nworah Etele (Onochie Nawfia na Umunri) stated that Senator Ekwunife has performed beyond expectations. He assured the Senator that the entire people of Nawfia are solidly behind her bid to become the next Governor of the state.

In his remarks, the PDP Chairman Njikoka LGA, Mr. Hyginus Anaeto lauded Ekwunife for giving the party a sense of pride in the local government through her numerous projects. He stated that the Senator’s antecedents and track record leave no one in doubt of her capacity to lead the state.

Also on hand to receive the Senator was the President General of the Nawfia community, Mr. Nathan Enemuo who in his speech stated that the community welcomes the projects attracted by the Senator with joy and gratitude. He also affirmed that the community would support the Senator in her bid to govern the state.

Expressing their appreciation, Mr. and Mrs. Nwune described the project as a precious lifetime gift. The couple offered prayers to God, thanking him for using the Senator to change their lives for better. Shedding tears of joy, the couple prayed God to bless Ekwunife and materialize her ambition to govern the state.

The three bedroom bungalow project is a unique project facilitated by the grassroots friendly Senator to provide shelter for the less privileged in her constituency. Ekwunife who has been nicknamed ‘Oji Uno Eme Ogo’ by Ndi Anambra has continued to receive commendations by residents of the state for offering a unique representation that is unparalleled and far-reaching. She has remained committed to addressing the needs of the people by consistently providing succor to constituents.

Dignitaries at the event include, Chief Tagbo Nwune, Ozonkpu Sylvester Onwudijo, Venerable Ifeanyi Umeh and his wife Lovelin Umeh, PDP Chairman Nawfia Ward 2, Ngozi Oha, PDP Chariman Nawfia Ward 1, Nwokoye Ogugua, PDP Secretary Ward 2, Thomas Okeke, Woman Leader Ward 2, Eucharia Okeke, Vice Chairman Ward 2, Onuora Emeka Allison amongst others.

On the Senator’s entourage were some members of the zonal project committee which include, former Accountant General of Anambra State, Mrs Helen Nwaeri, former Chairman Anambra State Physical Planning Board, Chief Victor Okpoko, former Chairman of ASUBEB, Dr Rose Nwankwo, Project Manager Anambra Central Liaison Office, Mrs Ify Chinwuko, Woman Leader SUECO, Mrs Ego Atuegbu amongst others.
