The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife on Friday April 16, 2021, joined the family, friends, well-wishers and the entire Urukpaleke village, Enugwu-Ukwu, Njikoka LGA, Anambra State to bid farewell to late Col. Ifeanyi Obiora.
Late Col. Obiora was until his demise a retired Colonel of the Nigerian Army. He was a brother to Mr. Chidi Obiora. Mr. Obiora is a respected PDP stakeholder in Njikoka LGA.
The funeral mass which held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church Enugwu-Ukwu had in attendance the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru ably represented by Brig. General James Dabour.
While condoling the family, Ekwunife described the deceased as a disciplined, courageous and hardworking retired army officer who served the nation diligently. She noted that late Col. Obiora throughout his meritorious service in the ranks of the army was never lured by ambition or goaded by necessity but for the peace and security of the country. Ekwunife prayed God to comfort the family in this trying time.
Ekwunife, however, on behalf of her family, campaign organization and good people of Anambra Central Senatorial extended condolences to Mr. Chidi Obiora and the entire family of the deceased.
Late Col. Obiora died at the age of 72.
