Ekwunife flags-off Road Construction Project at Umuoji Amidst Cheers & Excitement By the People of the community

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 flagged-off the construction of Anagu Road Umuoji in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State which is one of the numerous projects she attracted to the Senatorial District.

Ekwunife was represented at the occasion by the Anambra Central Zonal Project Monitoring committee led by the former commissioner for women affairs Anambra State, Lady Henrietta Agbata who commenced their visit to the community with a homage to the Regent of Umuoji, High Chief Christopher Nnedu (Odezuluigbo Umuoji) and his cabinet Chiefs.

Receiving the committee, High Chief Nnedu described Senator Ekwunife as a woman who is true to her words. He noted that the project is a manifestation of the Senator’s commitment towards fulfilling her campaign promises to the people of Umuoji and by extension the people of the Senatorial District, and encouraged her to remain steadfast in her efforts to attract dividends of democracy to the people.

In her reaction, the Leader of the committee, Lady Henrietta Agbata thanked the Regent and the people of the community for their support for the Senator, particularly in the last election. She stated that Senator Ekwunife remains committed to addressing the developmental needs of her constituents, and urged the people of the community to remember the Senator in their prayers as she strives to deliver more dividends of democracy to the Senatorial District and beyond.

From the palace, the committee visited the project site to inspect the ongoing construction work and officially flag-off the project. They were received at the site by some PDP Ward Executives, Indigienes and Stakeholders of the community.
