Ekwunife Joins Obi, Others As Dr Alex Obiogbolu Buries Father In Onitsha, Anambra State

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District and frontline PDP gubernatorial aspirant, Senator Uche Ekwunife(Iyom), on Friday, February 5, 2021, joined to witness the Burial of late Chief Nwachinemelu Anthony Obiagwuncha Obiogbolu, the father of the erstwhile PDP gubernatorial aspirant in Anambra State, Dr Alex Obiogbolu.

The burial ceremony which held at late Chief Anthony Obiogbolu’s compound in Inland Town, Onitsha, saw the gathering of creme de la creme in the society, government officials, captains of industries including the former governor of Anambra State and 2019 PDP Vice Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, the member representing Awka North/South Federal Constituency, Hon. Chinedu Onwuaso, his Oyi/Ayamelum counterpart, Hon Vincent Ofumelu, the state PDP Chairman, Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu, a staunch stakeholder of the party in Oyi LGA, Chief Mike Nwakalor(Wowo Nteje), Former PDP State Chairman, Hon Pandola Okwuosa, Former Orumba North council boss, Chief Okey Enekwa, the President General of Nri, Chief Kelvin Obiegbunam, Former Anambra Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Prof. Chinyere Stella Okunna and other dignitaries..

While commiserating with Dr Alex Obiogbolu, the people’s Senator described the Late Patriach of Obiogbolu family who died at the age of 91 as a man with effulgence of God’s love. The Senator with Midas Touch stated that their late father inculcated good virtues on his son Alex, who has exemplified the good virtues in whatever he does. Ekwunife eulogised the deceased saying that his footprints would never be erased.

The quintessential Senator of the Federal Republic however, admonished Dr Obiogbolu and his family to always imbibe the good virtues of their father, saying he lived a life worthy of emulation.

While thanking Senator Ekwunife, Dr Alex Obiogbolu in his remark, described Ekwunife as an amazon who has carved a niche for herself with all her outstanding achievements as a Senator. The former guber aspirant appreciated Ekwunife and the people of Anambra Central Senatorial District, and prayed God to sustain the Federal Lawmaker, as she continues to cause desirable change in the lives of her constituents..

Former Anambra Commissioner for Women Affairs, Lady Harrieta Agbata, Former Anambra Accountant General, Mrs Helen Nwaeri, Legislative Assistant to the Senator, Mrs Ify Chinwuko among others were part of the Senator’s entourage to the burial ceremony.
