- assures constituents of more dividends of democracy
Stakeholders in Ichida community on Monday, 30th November 2020 had nothing but praises for the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) for facilitating the construction of a road in the community. This happened as the Senator sent a delegation to flag off the road project.
The delegation led by the Director of Works Anambra Central Senatorial District Liaison Office and Former Commissioner for Women Affairs Anambra State, Lady Henrietta Agbata were welcomed by the President General of the community, Chief Coleman Uba who was represented by the Secretary General, Mr Johnpaul Okeke.
Expressing delight over the road project, the Secretary General of the community, Mr Johnpaul Okeke stated that the community is overwhelmed by the Senator’s efforts towards the development of the community and other communities in the constituency. He noted that Senator Ekwunife has by her good works shown that she has the capacity to deliver if elected the Governor of Anambra State.
Speaking further, Mr Okeke assured the Senator that the people of Ichida will continue to give her all the support she needs to continue her good deeds for her constituents. He prayed God to strengthen her and give her the enablement to discharge her duties to the benefit of the masses whom she has remained empathetic to their challenges.
On her part, the Director of Works, Lady Henrietta Agbata coveyed the Senator’s message of gratitude to the people of Ichida. She noted that the Senator is appreciative of the support she received from the community in the last election and is fully committed to fulfilling her campaign promises to Ndi Anambra Central. She further urged them to remember the Senator in their prayers as she strives to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of the Senatorial District and beyond.
Also in the delegation were, the Former Accountant General of Anambra State, Mrs Helen Nwaeri, the Former Chairman of ASUBEB, Dr Rose Nwankwo and the Legislative Assistant to the Senator, Mrs Ifeyinwa Chinwuko, Former General Manager Anambra State Physical Planning Board and MD/CEO Osita Oil and Gas Nig limited, Chief Victor Okpoko, Former Deputy Chairman Anaocha LGA, Hon Sir Chuka Okpoko and others.
