Anambra state- The People’s Democratic Party chairman, Nri ward II, Anaocha LGA has heaped praise on the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, for her purposeful strides, describing her as a selfless lawmaker who providence will be kind to.
Mr. Chijioke Okonkwo made the remarks recently in Anambra state while the Senator was on a tour of inspection at the site of numerous community and developmental projects she attracted in the zone.
At the tour in Nri itself, Mr. Okonkwo commended Ekwunife and said that her antecedents speak volumes and example to be emulated by other representatives.
Ekwunife had a hectic week ensuring that, the ongoing projects she attracted in many communities were receiving attention by the contractors and of the best quality.
While eulogizing the Senator, Mr. Okonkwo noted that in Nigeria, many politicians are stars in their own right, however, that the likes of the former governor, HE Peter Obi and Ekwunife are in the class of superstar.
Talking on, the ward chairman walked down the memory lane of how Mrs. Bassey Okafor had always wished that her tears would be wiped away. He thanked Ekwunife for always remembering the less privileged in the society. Mrs. Okafor is one of the beneficiaries of the 3-bedroom bungalow nearing completion in different locations in the zone.
Let’s cast our mind back that, the Chairman Senate Committee on Science and Technology had promised that at least each community in Anambra Central will have a completed project this year, hence, in the coming weeks, she will be touring many communities commissioning completed projects.
Meanwhile, Mr. Okonkwo prayed for the Senator otherwise known as Iyom and concluded by saying that her type is needed as the next governor of the state.
