Emeka Igwe Celebrates With Ndu Ozo Awka As They Mark This Year’s Otite Festival

Chief Emeka Igwe, a double chief of Awka Kingdom, Nnanyelugo n’Awka and Ezeudo n’Awka was at the home of some Ndu Ozo Awka to celebrate with them as they marked this years Otite festival.

Otite festival in Awka is similar to the New Yam Festival, but the Awka people call it Otite, it is celebrated once in a year as a mark of thanking the Almighty God for seeing another harvest season, while praying for a Bountiful harvest.

The team which comprised of Hon. Barr Kenneth Arinze, Chief Okey Nwanna, Chief Sir Charles Nwachukwu, Chief Onyi Okeke, Ogbuefi Machie Emmanuel, Mr. Osita Okoye, Mr. Michael Omelu and a host of others where at the residence of Ozo Nwumeh Anagor ( Ozo Chukwufulunanya) and Ozo Rt. Hon Keluo Molokwu ( Ozo Apalli ) to celebrate with them as they marked this years Otite festival.

Nnanyelugo n’Awka encouraged the people of Awka to keep upholding culture and Tradition as that is part of our connection with the supreme beings ( God Almighty ).

The team were treated to a good refreshment of local delicacies of different Yam combo.
It was indeed a great time with the people.
