Today been the 7th day of October 2022, Chief Emeka Igwe the PDP candidate for House of Representatives Awka North and South Federal Constituency honoured the invitation of the Concerned Citizens for Educational Change in Awka North, Mgbakwu Community as they offered scholarship to 44 indigent and talented students selected from both private and public primary and secondary schools in Mgbakwu Community.
The Scholarship which was sponsored by the Rowland Ekemezie Foundation targeted indigent and talented pupils and student from both primary and secondary schools across Mgbakwu community in Awka North. The event which was chaired by Hon. Evang. K.G Enemuo and keynote Speaker Comr. NAP Ekpedolum had in attendance parent and school representatives of the beneficiaries.
Chief Emeka Igwe who was unavoidably absent was represented by members of his campaign team Mr. Machie Emmanuel, Mr. Patrick Nwokolo, Dr. Comr. Chidimma and Mr. Bright Nwangwu. Speaking on behalf of Chief Emeka Igwe, Mr. Machie applauded the Rowland Ekemezie Foundation and the Concerned Citizens for Educational Change for this wonderful initiative and encouraged them to keep it up.
He promised to partner with the foundation to see that more indigent student are enrolled into such scholarship Schemes as Education is top priority in his Agenda for the good people of Awka North and South.
Education holds the power to our future generation and as such we should endeavour to give our children the best of it.
