It is pertinent to note that there is gross infrastructural decay in Anambra State. Engineer Chris Azubogu observed this when he spoke to fellow Engineers at the induction of Engineers into the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) in Awka, a couple of weeks ago. This warrants for engineers to become active participants in formulation of policies and its implementation to enable them bridge the infrastructural deficit gaps in our dear state.
Problems seems to arise from the neglect of engineers over the decades in Anambra state’s tertiary institutions. These institutions should have consistently propagated Engineering Technology, Commerce, Industrial revolution, Trade among others so our education system will reflect the needs and proffer solutions to solve societal problems.
The Triple Helix approach consists of Government, Industry and Academic institutions synergizing to resolve economic difficulties and challenges facing the state. This Triple blend will analyze and reinforce cooperation between the Industry, Academic institutions and Government to scale-up growth, production, human, capital and infrastructural developments, job creation for our teeming youths.
Ifeanyichukwu Nnewi noted that key investments can be attracted by bridging the gap through the help of our Engineers in collaboration with other professionals in various sectors of the state. Prioritizing investment with the right policies and much needed infrastructures will bring greater inputs and outputs in every sector and accelerate development.
Engineer Chris Azubogu is daring to bridge the infrastructural gap in Anambra State as he is prepared to serve.
