Enugu Education Giant Strides (Focus On Academic Excellence)

The glory of the Coal City State in the area of education has been sustained by successive administrations in Enugu State.
However, Enugu State under the leadership of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi have recorded giant strides in Education.
Annually, the State is celebrated in national and international competitions with the well groomed Enugu school children dominating the academic awards.
On 26/9/19 at the just concluded National Quiz and Essay competitions held in Benin City and organised by the
Federal Ministry of Arts, culture and Tourism, CIC Enugu performance was very outstanding. According to the Principal of CIC Enugu, Rev. Fr. Mgbodile,
“CIC Enugu came 2nd with 88% while the winner from Ogun state got 89%.
Most recently, Enugu State received nationwide accolade through the outstanding performance of Model Secondary School Nsukka, which emerged the 5th best school in public category in the country. This brave academic record was sufficiently and immediately appreciated by His Excellency , Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who promoted the Model School Principal, Mr. Obi Ezeugwuorie to Principal Special Grade Level 17 and purchased a brand new bus for the school.
Interestingly, this age long culture of academic excellence was recently revamped by the Governor Ugwuanyi led administration with the institutionalization of ” Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s Award of Excellence to the best primary and secondary schools in the State ”.
The present administration has provided healthy academic environment through the renovation, reconstruction and upgrading of over 400 schools across the 17 LGA of Enugu State.
To further sustain her image and position in the scheme of things academically, Enugu State recently recruited more qualified teachers to strengthen learning and produce more purified children.
Progressively, Education in Enugu State will soon arrive a permanent global prominence when the Education Sectoral committee Recommendations are fully implemented by the Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi led administration.
Therefore, missions, NGOs, corporate entities and all lovers of academic excellence should support Enugu State in her education giant strides.
