Erosion Control Project: Onyejeocha lauds Ecological Fund Office, Contractors, urges more support

The Member Representing Isuikwato/Ummuneochi Federal Constituency and Deputy Chief Whip Nigerian House of Representatives, Barr (Dame) Nkeiruka Onyejeocha has once again commended the Ecological Fund Office and its contractors for the diligence put into the OHUKABI NDIJIBI, OHUKABI ALIGBARA and OGHIGHE erosion control projects.

The Hon Member noted with satisfaction that work is ongoing at these sites and that works meet acceptable standards.

Dame Onyejeocha noted that she feels proud and grateful to God for being significantly instrumental in attracting the contract and therefore feel obligated to ensure that the execution of the job does not fall short of acceptable standards.

The ranking member stated that the dedication shown in the flagship projects should serve as a worthy example to various other intervention projects like the hitherto abandoned NDDC projects at Ururuka now that contractors appear to have returned to site.

She further urged the good people of the Isuikwato/Ummuneochi Federal Constituency to understand that these projects are the people’s commonwealth and, as such, they must take ownership of them and guard it jealously. She also advised the people to continue to seek clarification on matters that border on the development of the area, saying that the government must always serve the people.
