Elated by the unprecedented achievements recorded by the Kwara State Football Association under the Chairmanship of Honourable Musa Abdullahi Idris, the Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike, J.P has rated the association high and commended the members for their unrelented efforts.
The Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Ejidike who was on a courtesy visit to the Chairman, Kwara State Football Association showered encomiums on the board members for spectacular and monumental achievements recorded within a short period of their first tenure in office.
The sports philanthropist said he was impressed by the FA’s success in erecting a befitting secreteriat named after the first Chairman of the association in the state, Alhaji Mustapha, Wali of Ilorin; staging the state league; training and workshops organized for the State referees and coaches, talent hunt in all the 16 LGAs among several other programmes.
He disclosed that he would support and complement the state F.A in the aspect of Sponsorship of a grassroots competition in conjunction with Kwara State YSFON.
Ejidike emphasised: ” As you know, the state football association has the responsibility to promote and develop the round leather game in all capacity even as sports is a veritable tool and platform to promote unity and enhance commercial activities in the state, I will surely encouraged you through sponsorship of grassroots competition.”.
In his response, the Chairman, Kwara State F.A Hon Abdullahi Idris appreciated the Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Chief Ejidike for his giant strides and contributions to sports development in Nigeria which earned him the honour and title.
Hon Musa Abdullahi Idris who narrated his efforts in moving the game of football forward assured Ejidike of giving him all necessary technical support to actualise his dream.
The F.A Chairman encouraged Ejidike to continue in his crusade using of sports to bridge gaps and give teeming youths veritable platform to develop their talents.
