Former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike Expresses Confidence in President Tinubu’s Nomination

Former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, expressed his confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s decision to nominate him as a minister in his cabinet, assuring that Tinubu will not regret his choice. Wike conveyed his gratitude to Mr. President during the ministerial screening at the National Assembly on Monday. “I thank Mr. President for nominating me. I believe knowing how hungry Mr. President is to solve the problems of Nigeria, we have no choice but to give him that required support, and I can assure you that if I am confirmed, he will never in whatever capacity regret nominating me,” said Wike.

Wike emphasized his passion for Nigeria as the driving force behind accepting the ministerial offer, and he confidently showcased his Curriculum Vitae and achievements during the screening. Notably, Wike is the only Peoples Democratic Party chieftain nominated in the ministerial list sent by the President to the Senate last Thursday.
