To mitigate the untold hardship on flood victims in Anambra State, the Umueri American Heritage Foundation has provided succor to five holding centres and a community children’s home in Anambra East Local Government Area.
Food Items and relief materials that worth over a million naira were distributed to them.
The items include: bags of rice, beans, noodles, toiletries, drugs, custards, detergents, garri and many more.
The five holding camps are situated at CDC Udabor Umueri, Unity Hall, Nneyi Umueri, Umuoba Anam Unity school, Umundeze Eziagulu Aguleri, Father Joseph Aguleri and Community Children’s Home, Otuocha.
The President General of Umueri, Chief Johnny Metchie thanked Ndị Umueri in diaspora and an anonymous person who supported with one million naira for their contributions and prayed God to replenish their pockets
