Gombe Gets New Emir Of Funakaye

The governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Yahaya, has approved the appointment of Yakubu Kwairanga as the new Emir of Funakaye.

This was made known in a statement signed by the Commissioner, Ministry for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ibrahim Dasuki Jalo on Monday.

Dasuki said the appointment is based on recommendations of the kingmakers of the Funakaye Emirate Council.

While presenting the appointment letter to the new monarch at the Emir’s palace in Bajoga, Funakaye Local Government Area, Dasuki, urged the monarch to embrace all and sundry in his domain and build on the legacies of his predecessors.
