Gov Obiano and his ‘the more you look governance.’

This is a serious topic that we should all remove partisanship and look at it passionately.

Deputy Governor of Anambra state, Dr Nkem Okeke has not been treated fairly. His salary, allowances and overhead for the month of February, has not been paid. It is not as if there is no money, but the governor has refused to pay him.

The governor paid himself, collected his allowances, and overhead but decided to withhold that of his deputy. AIF Media gathered that Dr Nkem Okeke wrote to the governor to remind him, but the governor refused to sign his Warrant for salary and overhead to be released including other entitlements.

While that drama is going on, a message was sent to Dr Nkem Okeke that an award will be given to him by the governor on March 9, at the International Convention Center, Awka.

Funnily, the award to be given Dr Nkem Okeke by Gov Obiano on March 9, is “DISTINGUISHED ANAMBRA STATE COMMANDER MEDAL for his outstanding achievements which have impacted much on the prosperity and image of our State.”

You want to give Nkem Okeke an award for his outstanding achievement but refused to pay him his salary, allowances, overheads and entitlements.

It is not only the Deputy Governor that the governor withheld his salary. All the aides and political appointees in the office of the deputy governor are being paid.
