Gov Soludo’s Wife Says Children Must Be At Home With Basic Cultural Values To Adapt To Tenets Of Morality

Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Mrs Nonye Soludo has asked parents to understand that a crucial step to instilling a sense of moral standards in their children is by keeping them in touch with the basics of their culture and traditions.

Mrs Soludo, who was speaking in Awka, observed that cultural and traditional embodiments play a pivotal factor in how children respond to their environments, pointing out that a child whose development roots are embedded in the right customary path will prioritize hard work over crime.

The governor’s wife further stated that a world that separates a child from his or her early ambitious beginning does huge disadvantage to that particular child, stressing that each Anambra child is entitled to vast social benefits, including children-friendly policies that have been initiated by Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration.

Mrs Soludo, while emphasizing the importance of teaching the younger generation the essence of culture and traditional behavioural philosophies, urged parents to teach their children and wards the sacredness of the Igbo culture and heritage, including communicating with them in Igbo language.

She explained that bearing in mind the incomparable potential of the Anambra child, it is pertinent to follow up on their developmental process and keep in touch with the right models to help them achieve their life’s goals.

Mrs Soludo, while pledging to continue to stand in the front of the campaign to better the lives of all Anambra children, noted that she feels a huge responsibility to help each child succeed in the midst of many obstacles standing between them and their future.

The Anambra governor’s wife also stated that each stakeholder, starting from homes, schools, religious places and the general society, must understand the imperative of the crusade, and play honest role in achieving each of its aims.
