Governor Soludo Vows to Forge Strong Partnership with Anambra Lawmakers for State’s Progress


On Sunday, July 30th, 2023, Anambra State Governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, declared his unwavering commitment to collaborating with members of the state legislature, house representative members, and senators to foster comprehensive development in the state.

During the post inauguration thanksgiving ceremony of Hon Engr Dominic Okafor, the member representing Aguata Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Governor Soludo, accompanied by his wife, Dr Mrs Nonye Soludo, addressed the congregation at St Patrick Catholic Church Obuno, Igboukwu.

The Governor praised the lawmakers for their proactive efforts in proposing motions and sponsoring bills but stressed the importance of continued unity, coordination, and effective lobbying by Ndi Anambra at the National Assembly to attract greater dividends of democracy to the state.

Highlighting his administration’s focus on infrastructure, health, education, security, human capital development, youth empowerment, and basic amenities, Governor Soludo acknowledged the need for collaboration with federal lawmakers to attract vital federal government projects.

The Pontifical Mass was presided over by His Eminence, Peter Ebere Cardinal Okpalaeke, the Catholic Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, and other clergies.

Notable dignitaries present included Hon Okwudili Ezenwankwo MHR (Enwepudike), who represented Rt Hon Tajudeen Abbass, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Emmanuel Anayo Okpalaeke (Member Representing Aguata I Constituency), Hon Anthony I. Muobike (Member Representative Aguata II Constituency), Dr Chibueze Ofobuike (TC Chairman Aguata LGA), Chief Titus Anigbogu, traditional rulers, TU PGs, and others.
