Governor Uzodimma Convenes Meeting with Southeast Leaders to Address Regional Issues

Senator Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Southeast Governors Forum, recently hosted a gathering of South-East leaders to discuss and address various concerns affecting the region, particularly issues of insecurity.

During the meeting, Governor Uzodimma emphasized the unity of all Igbo leaders and stakeholders in their efforts to combat insecurity in the region. He acknowledged that while security is primarily the responsibility of the Federal Government, the South-East leaders are planning to collectively raise the matter with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom they believe will provide the necessary support.

Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the President of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo Worldwide, expressed satisfaction with the successful meeting, where the problems facing the region were identified and thoroughly discussed. He reassured attendees that the issue of insecurity would soon be resolved.

The gathering included South-East Governors, members of the National Assembly, representatives from the Houses of Assembly across party lines, members of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, and other stakeholders from the South-East region. The meeting aimed to address the challenges faced by the region and foster collaboration among key leaders to find viable solutions.
