Essential Ndubuisi

Access to a qualitative healthcare service is our right as a people. And politicians are also elected to ensuring that the general health welfare of the people is taken care of, besides performing other masses-centred functions. For where there is no access to quality healthcare, the disadvantaged people become susceptible to greater risks – risk of developing fibroid, tumor, cancer, infections, indeed, risk of being sick. These risks can lead to premature death if left undiagnosed and promptly treated by a qualified medical personnel.
Access to a free health care service is the pathway to a total health freedom! The importance of a free healthcare service, therefore, cannot be overemphasized. It is one that must not be neglected in catering for the peoples’ health welfare. In our current political dispensation, however, only very few leaders understood this and Engr Chris Emeka Azubogu, IfeanyiChukwu Nnewi, is one.
For the past four years, The Chris Emeka Azubogu Free Medical Outreach which is his brain child, has been able to maintain health, prevent diseases and reduce unnecessary disabilities and premature deaths, as well as achieving health equity for the people. His kind of free medical outreach has not been replicated anywhere within and outside the state of Anambra. As well, no where has this kind been organized consistently for four years running. In other words, it is the first of its kind in not only Anambra State, but across Nigeria and some other parts of the world. Until affected politicians learn to consult him, in order to have it replicated in their own states for the people’s benefit, they may not do it right.
If only other politicians across the globe who are yet to key in should emulate this innovative health policy from the man affectionately referred to as “Mr Project”, our healthcare systems would be a lot better. If only our greedy politicians should emulate the Azubogu Pathway of restoring the health of the people, our hospitals would be less occupied with patients waiting for one surgery or the other. If only our politicians should emulate this yearly free medical outreach, a whole lot of our people would no longer be led to their early graves! Of course, if only our politicians should replicate this innovative health policy of Mr Project in their respective constituencies, thousands of our disadvantaged people who cannot afford the high cost of going for surgeries would have been relieved of such burden.
Free Healthcare for all is a yardstick for the appraisal of a genuine leader who loves his people. It can only take someone as tried, tested and with a proven vision as Hon. Azubogu to do it, much more successfully. And for the people of Anambra, IfeanyiChukwu Nnewi is ever prepared to do it across the 21 LGAs of the state! Yes, he is ever prepared to serve, as this is not a policy impossible for him to achieve.
