Hon George Ozodinaobi Congratulates Senator Uche Ekwunife As PDP Clears Her To Contest Its Primary Election

CONGRATULATIONS TO SENATOR UCHE EKWUNIFE AS PDP CLEARS HER TO CONTEST ITS PRIMARY ELECTION

I congratulate our dear Distinguished Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) as she scales through the PDP primary election screening after a thorough screening process by the governorship primary election screening committee headed by the former governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Capt. Idris Wada (Rtd).

The news of our courageous Iyom receiving her certificate of clearance is only the beginning of our journey to history. In my quest to always be part of history, I have consistently stated my conviction that our sister, Iyom is not only the best aspirant in the field of selection for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but will be the best governorship candidate for the number one seat in the state.

There is a time and season for everything, and this is a time for a female governor, a time for Ndi Anambra to experience the touch of a mother, an amazon and a lady who has through her many developmental deeds endeared herself to the people.

Ekwunife’s antecedents are glaring for all to see. Her exploits as member representing Anaocha, Njikoka and Dunukofia federal constituency (2007 – 2015), a constituency I was privileged to also represent can be described as the beginning of her meteoric rise in the political system – a system where only few women had thrived.

For me, there are opportunities one cannot afford to throw away. The Ekwunife option presents Anambrarians an opportunity to produce a governor that has shown consistency in delivering good governance at various leadership levels in the state. As Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the grassrooted Senator Ekwunife has redefined representation and enlarged the boundaries of community development. Through her track record, the vintage Iyom has shown that she has the capacity to shoulder the responsibilities of the office of the governor of Anambra state.

As we look forward to the June 26th PDP primary, I am confident that the party delegates will make a choice which will be best for the party and all Anambrarians.

If competence, capacity, courage, fear of God, antecedents, track record and experience will be the yardsticks for which Anambrarians will elect a governor on November 6th, then Senator Uche Ekwunife is the choice to make.
