It was rumoured that the ex-spokesman resigned his membership from the party to support his brother Mr Peter Obi who’s the presidential candidate of the Labour Party,  coupled with the crisis in the PDP which saw many stakeholders and governors announcing their withdrawal from the Atiku presidential campaign council.

According to Anambra Political Analyst Eneh Victor, all is not well in PDP, especially the Atiku presidential project.

Chief Olisa Metuh’s resignation from PDP has sealed the fate of Atiku to emerge as president in 2019.

Eneh Victor who is the founder of AIF MEDIA used his Facebook handle to give reasons why he believed that the resignation of Chief Olisa Metuh from PDP yesterday has sealed the fate of Atiku to emerge as president in 2019.

His post reads:

“All is not well in PDP, especially the Atiku presidential project

“The resignation of Chief Olisa Metuh from PDP yesterday has sealed the fate of Atiku to emerge as president in 2019.

“Yesterday, Olusegun Mimiko. the former governor of Ondo state announced his withdrawal from Atiku presidential campaign council.

“Two days ago, the PDP stakeholders in Benue state alongside the state governor said Atiku should forget Benue state and pulled out their support.

“I also learnt that the Akwa Ibom state government has refused to release funds for PDP presidential campaign and asked that each governor should go and fund his state.

“The crisis is much.

“In the southeast, there is no PDP governor that’s supporting Atiku. So there is no one to fund the Atiku presidential campaign programmes here. They are now looking at drafting Dr Obiora Okonkwo to fund southeast with his personal money.

“We advised Atiku to step down on time, and allow PDP to substitute him with an Igbo man, but he didn’t listen.

“This battle is now between Mr Peter Obi of the Labour party and Bola Ahmed Tinubu of APC.” Eneh Concluded.
