A renowned business tycoon, Chief Mrs Tina Amalu-Nweke has been conferred with the “Ada Ji Ugo Umuawulu” title by the traditional ruler of Umuawulu, Igwe Joel Egwuonwu of Umuawulu.
Chief Mrs Amalu-Nweke’s career started in 1999 as a retailer of soft drinks and cold water tied in water proof nylons in Jimeta market, Yola.
She grew her business to what is now Tina Associates, a major soft drinks distribution company
where she is now the Chief Executive Officer.
She has been recognized by several companies and Government agencies for her excellent performance in business and humanitarian services.
According to the Igwe Egwuonwu, the title is to applaud her support to the development of Umuawulu Community.
Speaking at the event, the former Vice president of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, represented by his son, Alhaji Shehu Abubakar, thanked Chief Mrs Amalu-Nweke for her support and selfless service to not just her community but to Nigeria in general.
The Chieftaincy title taking was followed by the Opening of her country home.
