The highly anticipated Igwe Orizu Diamond Football U-20 Competition, proudly presented by the Nigeria Pillar of Sports under the leadership of Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike JP, is scheduled to commence this week in Nnewi, Anambra State. The competition boasts a remarkable prize of ₦1 million for the victors of the coveted trophy. This announcement was made through an official press release from the Nigeria Pillar of Sports (ONPS) office, signed by Chairman Prince Shola Ajide Olayioye, and shared with the press on Monday.

Organized as an invitational tournament, the participating teams have been selected at random from the three senatorial districts of Anambra State. This collaborative effort between the Main Organizing Committee (MOC) and the Anambra State Football Association aims to foster sporting excellence within the region. The matches are set to kick off on Wednesday, August 23rd, and conclude on Friday, August 25th, at the prestigious Ifeanyi Ubah Stadium in Nnewi.
