Anambra state government has commended the bravery of security officials who repeled attacks on on select government facilities.
Governor Willie Obiano gave the commendation when he visited the locations, asking them to continue.
According to the governor, no casualty was recorded by the Nigeria police, though some of the hoodlums were gunned down.
The Governor said that such braveness is needed by security operatives at a time like this, revealing that most of the gunshots that were heard in the night, belong to the police.
The Governor continued that eventhough the perpetrators of the act were able to throw petrol explosives at the structures, not much was destroyed, promising to repair everything as soon as possible.
Afterwards, Governor Obiano went ahead to inspect level of work at the International Conference Center and Awka City Stadium.
