—Promises More Dividends Of Democracy To Constituents
In fulfillment of her promise to a less privileged from Abagana community, the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife PhD, on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, flagged off the construction of 3-bedroom bungalow for Mr. Uche Ufoaroh and family.
Ekwunife noted that commencement of the project was borne out of her burning desire to touch lives. The project which is amongst the 2nd phase of the housing projects facilitated by the Federal Lawmaker is in line with her quest towards providing succour to the disadvantaged in the society.
Recalling her words to Mr. Ufoaroh, Ekwunife said that she made a promise to provide shelter for him upon knowing that he is an orphan who has no place to call home. She promised more dividends of democracy to constituents, adding that she will continue to facilitate programmes targeted at improving the quality of lives of the people.
On his part, the Uncle to the beneficiary, Mr. Alfred Ufoaroh extended gratitude to Ekwunife, describing her as the best lawmaker in the East of Niger. Mr. Ufoaroh said that the Senator is known across the zone as a Senator who does not renege on her promises, saying that her achievements speak volumes.
Continuing, he said that he is optimistic that Ekwunife will complete other developmental projects she commenced across the zone.
Similarly, Mrs. Josephine Ufoaroh described Ekwunife as Madam Project who according to her, has taken representation to the next level. She thanked the Senator for remembering a member of their family.
Earlier before the flag off, Ekwunife who was represented by a delegation of her project team led by Hon. Lady Henrietta Agbata paid homage to the traditional ruler of Abagana community, His Majesty, Igwe Patrick Mbamalu Okeke.
Speaking, the traditional ruler, Igwe Okeke described Ekwunife as a hardworking, dedicated and committed lawmaker, promising that he will be present to witness the commissioning in the coming months.
The foundation of the building project was blessed by the Parish Priest of St. Mark Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Paul Chimezie.
Present were other members of the project team which include, former Accountant General of Anambra state, Mrs. Helen Nwaeri, Legislative Assistant to the Senator, Mrs. Ifeyinwa Chinwuko, Njikoka Project Manager, Comrade ABC Ubani (JP), amongst others.
