JTI Nigeria GM Appointed Vice Chairman of LCCI’s Industrial Group

Mr. Thomas Adams, the General Manager of Habanera Limited, a subsidiary of Japan Tobacco International (JTI), has recently been appointed as the Vice Chairman of the Industrial Group of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).

This appointment comes as a recognition of Mr. Adams’ active role in the Nigerian economy and acknowledges JTI’s significant contribution as a major stakeholder in the industrial sector. The Industrial Group of LCCI, comprising members from reputable organizations in Nigeria, focuses on addressing pertinent issues affecting stakeholders within the sector.

In response to his appointment, Mr. Adams expressed his gratitude, stating, “I am extremely pleased to accept the nomination to serve as the Vice-Chairman of the Industrial Group of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, LCCI.” He emphasized JTI’s commitment to supporting industry associations and strengthening their capacity to lead discussions that promote business growth.

With over two decades of experience in the tobacco industry, Mr. Adams brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role. He has held various strategic positions within JTI, including General Manager of JTI Nigeria since 2021, GM of JTI Israel, and Market Manager of JTI Cyprus. His track record demonstrates exceptional expertise in navigating competitive international markets.

Notably, Mr. Adams was appointed as a Member of the Governing Council of the Nigeria Employers Consultative Association (NECA) last year, further highlighting his dedication to fostering collaboration and driving positive change within Nigeria’s business landscape.

His appointment as Vice Chairman of LCCI’s Industrial Group underscores the pivotal role he continues to play in shaping the industrial sector’s discourse and advancing its interests in Nigeria.
