Aminat Tajudeen, a 100 Level student at Kwara State College of Education, has died while attending a lecture in class. The tragic incident took place on Wednesday at around 1:30pm.
According to sources, Aminat had collected her matriculation gown for the ceremony scheduled for Thursday and then returned to class when she suddenly slumped.
A senior staff member of the college, who preferred to remain anonymous, stated that the late Aminat was quickly taken to the school clinic after collapsing during the lecture.
The college’s PRO, Mrs Abibat Zubair, confirmed the incident on Thursday, revealing that Aminat was a Music/Yoruba student. She also mentioned that the college and students mourned her during the matriculation ceremony.
“The Provost visited the parents yesterday to sympathise with them and also mourned her today during the matriculation ceremony together with the students,” Mrs Zubair said.
The entire college community is deeply saddened by Aminat’s untimely passing and sends its condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time.
