The Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday attended a service of commemoration in honour of late Queen Elizabeth II at The British Residence, Ikoyi.
Sanwo-Olu, who also signed the condolence register, shared photos on his Facebook page.
Speaking on the late UK monarch, he said “Queen Elizabeth II lived a remarkable life of service and devotion to duty from her first day on the throne till the very last hour.”
“On behalf of the good people of Lagos, we pray for the Royal Family and it is our desire that the reign of King Charles III will strengthen stronger relationships and partnerships between UK and Nigeria and the world,” Sanwo-Olu added.
