Efforts are underway in the Lagos State Government to create a comprehensive data register that will accurately capture a substantial number of residents in the near future. The Chief Press Secretary to the state Governor, Gboyega Akosile, shared this information with our correspondent, emphasizing the state’s commitment to the development.
Acknowledging Lagos as a center of excellence, Akosile assured that the government is taking a holistic approach to address this matter. He revealed that the state already possesses a Social register, but due to changing dynamics, it may not be as comprehensive as required. However, he assured that a definitive register will be unveiled soon, as there is an existing template to guide the process.
Furthermore, Akosile mentioned that the state Governor would soon make a clear and categorical statement on this important initiative. With a comprehensive data register, Lagos State aims to improve governance, planning, and service delivery by accurately identifying and understanding its resident population.
