Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi states has elected Lady Ada Chukwudozie as her new chairperson.
Mr. Sunday Ezeobiora was also elected the Vice Chairman.
The event which is ongoing in Enugu, Enugu state, draws manufacturers from different parts of South East, Nigeria to brainstorm on issues bothering the branches that make up the zone well as chart ways of overcoming their challenges.
The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), established in May, 1971 was motivated by the desire to have a focal point of communication and consultation between industry on the one hand, and the government and general public on the other.
The establishment of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria was to provide a platform for the private sector to formulate and articulate policy suggestions that would be complementary to governments efforts at policy formulation.
In her remarks, the incoming chairman of the branch, Lady Ada expressed joy for the call to service and assured that with her wealth of experience and the unity of the branch, she will put in her expertise towards moving the branch forward.
The association is currently meeting in Enugu state for it’s 34th General Meeting with theme “ The Declining Ethical Values and Cultures of the 60’s and 70’s in today’s current time: causes, effects and solutions”, which will feature the likes of Pete Edochie as guest speaker among other numerous guests.
