Meet Joseph Ligon, America’s longest-serving juvenile inmate who spent 68 years in prison

Joseph Ligon was sentenced to life in prison in 1953 for taking part in robbery and assault with a group of drunk teens in Philadelphia. He was 15 at the time.

Last year February, Joe was released spending 68 years in prison. He is now 84.

Joe was surprised when he saw skyscrapers and all the new technologies that didn’t exist at the time he went to prison.
