N194bn Cocaine Bust: Nigerians Commend NDLEA

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has been receiving praises on social media over the seizure of N194bn worth of cocaine from a warehouse in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.

In a statement released by the NDLEA Director, Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, on Monday, the drug bust was done on Sunday and suspected barons also arrested.

Reacting to the development, activist, Aisha Yesufu, said, “It seems President Buhari got it right with Col. Buba Marwa on this NDLEA thing. Same organisation now doing magic because of leadership change. Leadership is everything!”

Former lawmaker, Shehu Sani, “The bursted cocaine warehouse in Lagos showed that the country is becoming a major hub for hard drugs. The #ndleanigeria action is commendable. Since the late General Bamaiyi, the agency has returned back to life under its new boss, Marwa.”

The Chairman of Nigerians In Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, also hailed the NDLEA for the job. She said, “Na wa o. Our very own Ikorodu 😩😩😩. But great job #ndlea_nigeria. 👍👍”
