Ndi Ihiala Move To Protest The Sacking Of ASUBEB Chairman

Report coming in states that ndi Ihiala are angry with the latest news of the sacking of thier son, Mr Patrick Ugboaja, the Chairman of Anambra State Universal Basic Education, ASUBEB by the Commissioner for Education, Prof Kate Omenugha.

Ndi Ihiala from various sources are angry that the Commissioner for Education could unilaterally sack their son without due process and went ahead to block him from seeing the governor.

AIF Media gathered that Mr Patrick Ugboaja was sacked while in Abuja on the invitation of an anti graft agency. ASUBEB Chairman is one of those undergoing interrogation as the nation’s anti graft agency continues to scrutinize the accounts of the outgoing administration led by gov Obiano.

While at Abuja, Mr Ugboaja got a call from the Commissioner for Education who asked him to return to Awka and handover his office to a new ASUBEB Chairman. Mr Ugboaja said no official letter was addressed to him and no reason was given for his sack.

Investigation reveals that Ugboaja was sacked by the commissioner and replaced with a lackey who would do her bidding in the incoming administration that will be inaugurated on March 17, 2022.

A source told AIF Media that the governor is not aware of the sack of the ASUBEB Chairman and his replacement by the Commissioner for Education. “That was why he is being blocked from seeing the governor who may likely reverse their action.”

Another source told AIF Media that it is regrettable that APGA govt could take such action against the interest ndi Ihiala few weeks that “our people refused to be used by APC to cancel the victory of APGA in the supplementary election.”

“The protest is to draw the attention of the governor to this injustice. He should call the Commissioner for Education to order and reinstates our son to serve out his tenure”, an Ihiala said.
