New National Executive Of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide Receives Working Blessings From First Republic Minister, Chief Amechi In His Ukpor Home

The new national executive of the apex Igbo socio-cultural body, Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, led by its newly-elected President General, Professor George Obiozor, today, February 9th, 2021, received first working blessings from the First Republic Minister of Aviation and the only surviving member of the Zikist Movement, Chief Mbazuluike Amechi, at his Ukpor home, in Nnewi South Local Government Area.

In the entourage of the new National Executive were the Secretary General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Ambassador Okey Emuche, National Vice President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene, Chairman of Council of Elders, Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanywawu, a former Governor of Imo State, Chief Ikedi Ohakim as well other national and state members of the association.

Chief Amechi, 92, a foremost nationalist, is one of the founding members of Ohaneze Ndigbo and one of the only surviving elders and icons of Ndigbo and the association.

The new national executive body of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, was elected on January 10, 2021, in Owerri, Imo State.
