Nigerian Defender Alozie Uninjured After Clash with England’s James

Nigerian defender Michelle Alozie has reassured everyone that she’s alright following an incident involving England’s Lauren James, who was sent off for a stomp during their match. Alozie was on the receiving end of a harsh tackle from James, resulting in her being taken down in a one-on-one situation.

Initially shown a yellow card, James was later red-carded after a VAR review. Alozie spoke to reporters about the incident, acknowledging James’ skill but also highlighting the importance of containing her on the field. She expressed her surprise at James’ reaction to the tackle and mentioned that she was confused initially.

Alozie mentioned, “My butt is fine from her stepping on it! I was kind of confused initially. There’s no hard feelings, it’s just a game.”

Despite the intense competition, the Falcons unfortunately lost the match in a penalty shootout, leading to their elimination from the tournament.
