Nigerian Judicial Officials To Receive Increased Salaries

The President made this announcement on Friday, November 18, at the opening of the Dr. Nabo Graham Douglas Campus at the Nigerian Law School in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Abubakar Malami, SAN, Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, who attended the event in Buhari’s place, said that the enhanced welfare program for judicial employees and many other initiatives are intended to significantly increase the capacity and independence of the judiciary, which continues to be a pillar of strength and stability for our democracy.

He reportedly said: “Let me use this opportunity to also inform you that Mr. President has recently approved an expanded wage and benefit program for judicial officers as part of the commitment to boost the welfare of judicial officers, according to Channels Television.
