Nigeria’s Super Falcons Make History, Advance to Round of 16 in 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup

Randy Waldrum, the head coach of the Super Falcons, expresses confidence in his team’s potential to achieve something remarkable at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The nine-time African champions have successfully advanced to the Round of 16 in the competition.

Having displayed a strong performance in the group stage with one win and two draws, the Super Falcons are making history by reaching this stage for the first time in their Women’s World Cup journey.

Their upcoming challenge will be against England on Monday, August 7, in the Round of 16.

Speaking about the team’s ambitions, Coach Waldrum shared his belief in the players’ determination to achieve something extraordinary at the tournament. He emphasized that the journey is far from over and assured that the Super Falcons will be thoroughly prepared for their next opponents next week.
