Obi Asika Says Nigeria’s Innovation Centres Are In South-East

Entertainment entrepreneur, Obi Asika, has claimed that Nigeria’s original Innovation centres have always been in the southeastern part of the country.

He said this on Saturday on his Instagram page as he admired a made-in- Nigeria vehicle.

The Nigerian Idol judge said, “#Made in Naija. It was good to see this beauty from #officialinnosonvehicles live in Lagos with my bro #sam_onyemelukwe. After a great convo, this was great to see and just inspires one as to what we all can get done. I believe with no disrespect to the tech Innovators who drive ‘Silicon Yaba’ like my man #bosuntijani but I think the original innovation centres of Nigeria have always been east.

“In Nnewi, Aba, Onitsha and Enugu, however, Nigeria is yet to fully embrace and enable our own capacity but we can tell the stories to bring the attention to understand how innovation lives in these places.”
