OKEB Private Motor Park Amawbia Opens For Operations

OKEB Private Motor Park Amawbia, Awka South Local Government Area, under the management of Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) has been officially opened for operations.

The official opening was attended by members of the association, officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Anambra state command, officials of the Anambra state Road Traffic Management Agency (ARTMA) among others.

Speaking during the event, the Anambra state RTEAN chairman, Architect Chukwuka Okonkwo said that the organization is a registered member of the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria.

Architect Chukwuka explained that the park was opened to help actualize the agenda of Governor Chukwuma Soludo to stop loading and offloading along roads, as well as reducing traffic congestion in the state.

The Anambra state Deputy Corps Commandant of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mrs. Okwara Awassam thanked RTEAN for doing a wonderful job and said that the park would assist immensely in reducing the constant gridlock around the area and assured of their support to RTEAN at all times.

The Managing Director of OKEB Private Motor Park, Amawbia, Chief Okechukwu Ebele said that the park is unique in all ramifications, as it has all modern facilities, including female and male convenience rooms, cable Television, security and cannot accommodate touts under any guise.

From OKEB Private Motor Park Amawbia, commuters can travel to Lagos, Enugu, Owerri, Aba, Abakiliki, Umuahia, Onitsha, Benin, among numerous other places.
