Op-Ed: Few common reasons why Nigeria Government is suddenly opening Eastern Ports

Nigerians in general lack ability to reason critically. When something is happening especially out of the ordinary, they fail to ask why.

Now, why are they opening all Eastern sea and river ports all of a sudden 50 yrs after the war ended and unexplained closure? Simple: They are about to deal with Yorubas and render them useless until Tinubu drop his presidential bid. A close source disclose to me that the Northerners had approached Tinubu through an envoy with message ” we want you to drop you presidential ambition.” Tinubu ignored them. They sent another envoy now with a warning ” if you refuse to drop your ambition, we will cripple Yoruba economy overnight by taking back the advantage we gave you people, by giving other regions a level playing field. Meaning, we will reopen Onne seaport, Warri seaport, Port Harcourt seaport, Calabar seaport and Onitsha riverport. Not just we will reopen them but ask all major international shipping lines to sail there and avoid Lagos ports. We will keep them open until you drop your ambition. Then, we will close them again.

After we have completed the seaport campaign, we will move to airport. Shut all Lagos airports and reopen Uyo, Port Harcourt, Enugu and Asaba, ask all major international airlines not to fly directly to Lagos but to these ports.
