As the end of his two-term tenure approaches, the outgoing Governor of Kano State, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, has appealed for forgiveness from anyone he may have offended during his time in office.
Speaking during a Ramadan lecture series at Al-Furqan Juma’at Mosque in Nasarawa GRA Kano on Saturday evening, Ganduje said, “Forgive me for I have forgiven all”. He added that forgiveness holds a prime position in Islam and expressed his best wishes for the people of Kano.
Governor Ganduje’s eight-year tenure will come to an end on May 29, 2023, and he is expected to hand over power to Abba Kabir Yusuf of the opposition New Nigeria People’s Party.
However, one of his former Commissioners, Muazu Magaji, has accused him of plotting to eliminate him on several occasions, stating that he has forgiven Ganduje but will never forget what happened.
