Panel Of Inquiry Into Anaku/Omor Communities Crisis Visits Disputed Areas

The Panel of Inquiry into Anaku and Omor Communities crisis, Ayamelum Local Government Area, today Wednesday, twenty eight July, 2021 visited the disputed areas in both communities.

The delegation led by the chairman of the panel, Air Vice Marshall Ben Chiobi (Rtd) were in the area to have first hand information on what happened as well as ascertain the level of damage done, with a view to providing an amicable solution to the crisis bedeviling the communities.

Air Vice Marshall Chiobi assured both communities that the Committee will do a satisfactory and sincere job that will be acceptable to all the parties involved.

Govermor Willie Obiano had on the twenty seventh of May this year, inaugurated the committee with a mandate to ascertain the remote and immediate causes of the crisis, and make recommendations to the State government.
