PDP Picks Nominees to replace the sacked Ebonyi State Gov David Umahi, Deputy

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said it has submitted names of its nominees to replace the sacked Ebonyi State Gov David Umahi of Ebonyi State and his Deputy, Eric Kelechi Igwe to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

PDP National Chairman, Senator Dr Iyorchia Ayu disclosed that the party submitted the names of Hon. Iduma Igariwey as governor and Fred Udogwo as a deputy to INEC.

Senator Ayu stated this while addressing a world press conference at the PDP National Headquarters, Wadata Plaza, Abuja on Tuesday.

This followed a verdict of a Federal High Court in Abuja, which sacked Governor Umahi and his deputy, Igwe, following their defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
