PDP Southeast intervenes in Anambra state PDP crisis; says Ndubuisi Nwobu remains the authentic state chairman

The Southeast zonal committee of the Peoples Democratic Party – PDP, led by Chief Austin Umahi today, met at Enugu where they looked at the crisis in Anambra state PDP.

At the end of the meeting, the zonal leadership of PDP in a communique issued to the press and signed by the vice chairman southeast, said Ndubuisi Nwobu remains the state chairman of PDP of Anambra state.
The communique asked all aggrieved members in PDP to embrace peace if the party must win the 2021 governorship election.
It ratified the suspension of the 3 sacked officers in the party.
It also asked Sir Chukwudi Umeaba to close down his factional secretariat at Awka and partner with Nwobu led faction.
Finally, the Southeast PDP said the party will not zone its 2021 governorship ticket in the state. It urged all aspirants from all senatorial zones in the state to contest.
With the decision of the Southeast PDP on Anambra crisis in the party, we await the responses of those who have subsisting court orders validating their various contentious positions.
