Police IG Becomes Anti-gender Violence Ambassador

The Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, has been decorated as an ambassador for anti-gender violence activism.

The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Pauline Tallen, did the honours alongside the Colour Me Orange team during a visit to the office of the IG on Thursday as part of activities to mark the annual 16 days of activism against gender-based violence.

In a statement issued by the Force spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the IG gave assurances of his commitment to sustaining the fight against perpetrators of gender-based violence.
