The Peter Obi Support Network (POSN) has accused Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), of being behind the cloning of Peter Obi’s identity, leading to his recent detention by UK immigration officers at Heathrow Airport in London.
The group, made up of supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate, claimed in a statement that the APC government is determined to neutralize Obi’s influence, seeing him as a threat to its stolen presidential mandate.
The group also alleged that the passport used by the fake Peter Obi to obtain a UK visa was issued by the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS). It criticized the Nigerian government for remaining silent on Obi’s detention, calling it “unwarranted.” POSN stated that Obi’s humiliation at Heathrow Airport has exposed the anti-Obi scheming of the APC government to the whole world.
POSN advised the APC government to stop wasting resources seeking Obi’s downfall and instead focus on the crucial task of helping to birth a new Nigeria. The group expressed gratitude to Nigerians at the airport who rose in defence of Obi, saying it will make him more resolute in recovering his stolen mandate through the judicial process.
