Amidst jubilation, the women of Church of Holy Trinity Anglican Parish and the Catholic Women Organisation of St. John Catholic Parish Amanuke welcomed the PDP Candidates for Senate Anambra Central; Most Distinguished Senator Iyom Uche Ekwunife, House of Reps; Chief Emeka Igwe and ASHA Awka North Constituency; Hon. John Nwokoye to their Annual August meeting for the year 2022 respectively.
The parish Priest of the Holy Trinity Parish Rev. Canon Obidajuo introduced the guests and welcomed them with open hands to their midst.
The incoming House of Representative member, Chief Emeka Igwe thanked the women for their warm reception and encouraged them to remain steadfast in their pursuit towards achieving a better society.
He narrated some antecedents of the 3 candidates and charged the women to support their mandate to ensure quality representation within all constituencies.
Osuofia Amanuke who is amongst the visiting entourage gave a vote of thanks to the August visitors and challenged them to strive hard to fulfill their campaign promises, while testifying that indeed the Most Distinguished Senator Iyom Uche Ekwunife and Hon. John Nwokoye whom are sitting members have done even more than they promised in their previous tenure.
He also urged the women to support these 3 candidates to ensure that their constituencies gets the representation they deserve.
The parish priest led a prayer session, pleading the Almighty to protect and provide for these candidates and also to see them to victory at the polls.
In the same manner the Catholic Women Organisation of St. John’s Catholic Church Amanuke prayed for a successful outing ahead of 2023.
