REVEALED: How INEC and Police Worked for APGA

Yesterday, at the state Collation centre Awka, there were many revelations on how APGA rigged this election and neither police nor INEC has acted on those revelation.

In Orumba north LGA, the returning officer alleged that the TC chairperson of APGA in the local govt led thugs who harassed him with gun and forced him to sign a fake result in favour of APGA.

He tendered the result and stated clearly that he signed it under duress. Up till now, the TC chairperson of Orumba north is walking freely. She has not been arrested on electoral violence. Police has not seen anything wrong in what the APGA TC chairperson did.

On the Supplementary election scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, I was surprised that INEC said election will hold in only Ihiala LGA and excluded other areas like Abatete, Ebenebe, Amanuke, Nzam and so many other Registration areas that were cancelled by the commission.

Since there is need for a supplement election, why can INEC conduct the rerun in all the affected areas where election couldn’t hold.

If all these registration areas excluded by INEC for a rerun tomorrow are added to the 140,000 registered voters of Ihiala, we will be having over 200,000 voters that were disenfranchised yesterday.

INEC should come out clean and do the needful.
